Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary

Tuesday, Dec. 8, is the day we celebrate the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. The day marks our belief that God preserved Mary from any inclination to sin, the inheritance of original sin passed on to all mankind from Adam and Eve. It is the patronal feast day of the United States and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales that day at 7 a.m., 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
