Mission Statement The mission of the St. Francis de Sales Parish Library is to encourage, support, and enrich the spiritual and intellectual growth of our parishioners by providing educational and inspirational books, DVDs, and CDs that are consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Library Collection The library contains a wide selection of over 1800 books, DVDs, and CDs for all ages covering the following range of subjects:

Library Hours and Location The Parish Library is located in the lower level of the Parish Center. It is open after all weekday and weekend Masses.
Patrons The library serves the parishioners and the clergy of St. Francis de Sales parish. A patron must fill out a Parish Library Membership Form in order to borrow material. These forms are available on the parish library checkout desk/cabinet. Parents are responsible for materials borrowed by children under 16 years old.
Books may be checked out for four weeks and renewed once. DVDs and CDs may be checked out for two weeks. Items may be renewed by contacting the parish librarian via email or a note addressed to the librarian and left on the library checkout cabinet.
Borrowers may check out a maximum of two items due to the small size of our library. For example, one may check out two books, or one book and one DVD, or two CDs, etc…
Borrowers are responsible for replacing lost or damaged books, DVDs, and CDs. Borrowed items are considered lost if they are one month overdue.
Borrowers must return all overdue material before checking out new material. Borrowers must replace all lost or damaged materials before checking out new material.
Reference materials may be used in the library but not removed.
Borrowers agree to be bound by all library policies which includes check out procedure posted on the bulletin board in the library.
Collection Development/Selection Criteria The following guidelines will be used to determine the suitability of all materials, donated or purchased, that are available for check out. Books/media consistent with Catholic teaching and the Magisterium of the Church and in good condition will be evaluated for inclusion in the collection. Materials selected will be purchased, funds permitting, or will be added to the library’s “Wish List”.
Donations Policy Donated Items: Individuals wishing to donate material to the library can drop off materials marked fordonation at the library. Books, DVDs, and CDs will be screened to ensure they comply with library policy, are in good condition, and are not duplicates of existing materials. Duplicates of existing materials or donated materials not needed in the library may be donated to other libraries, charitable organizations, or included in periodic book sales. Magazines or periodicals are not being accepted at this time due to limited space.
Financial Contributions: Financial gifts in support of the library are always accepted and appreciated. Contributions may be sent to the parish office.
