A Message of Hope From Fr. Mark

Dear Sr. Benedict and St. Francis de Sales Parishioners,

On behalf of the Parish Staff and Trustees, please be assured of our continued prayers during this uncertain time.

Our world is changing so rapidly, and so many people are rightly concerned about the future. Will members of my family or friends be infected with the Coronavirus? How will our financial situation look? What will happen to our world? The worries are endless.

We need to remember that our faith makes a positive difference in our lives.

On Wednesday, March 25, we as Catholics celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord – a feast of great Joy and Hope. In the gospel for the feast Luke stated, “…the angel Gabriel said to her ‘Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God!'”

In the first reading from Isiah we are reminded. “The Virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel, which means, ‘God is with us.'”

God never abandons us. We will get through this, with God’s help. We will once again be able to celebrate the sacraments together as a community. We will be able to physically be with one another in worship and experience God’s care and love working through each other. May we hold our wold and one another in prayer – God is with us.

In prayer for good health and safety,
Fr. Mark
