Liturgical celebrations will mark the ordination of Most Reverend Jeffrey R. Haines and Most Reverend James T. Schuerman as Auxiliary Bishops for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
On Thursday, March 16, 2017 a vespers service will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Monica Parish, 160 E. Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay. The faithful of the archdiocese are invited to this evening of solemn prayer. (ALL SFDS PARISHIONERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND!)
On Friday, March 17, 2017 Bishops-elect Haines and Schuerman will be ordained by Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki in a 2 p.m. Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 812 N. Jackson St., Milwaukee, with a reception to follow. This is a ticketed event and not open to the general public. However, this liturgy WILL BE LIVE STREAMED so that you will be able to watch it from your computer.
ALL SFDS PARISHIONERS ARE INVITED to a reception honoring Bishop Schuerman after the 5:15 Mass on March 18. It will take place downstairs in the Jonah room with light appetizers and drinks. Please join us on this very special occasion!
